Today's Bite

At Today's Bite, i wanna talk about wolfberries. Lately i've been using quite alot of them on my fish dish, soup and dessert. I would usually bring a packet when traveling oversea. Just throw some in your hotflask, of cos with hotwater & let it 'simmer'. You'll appreciate this drink (especially during winter). Wolfberries helps to retain water in your body, strengthen eyesight and clear toxins in your liver. It adds sweetness when cook. I like to add it in when i cook fish with soysauce, a pinch of 冬虫草powder, 玉竹and tomatoes. I like it when sauce turns thick and sweet. Even adding some to steam fish taste nice.

For dessert, add some to dried longan, white fungus and gingko (with rock sugar). This is for 润肺.
Basically, i love to eat wolfberries.....
