Traffic CTE CTE CTE

The traffic nowadays are so so so heavy. Cheap cars, ya. Pay package is good, ya. Despite the increased ERP, parking rates, maintenance, fuel and shortage of car park lots, many chose to own a car. I agree it's convenience, especially looking at the super long queues in town, you'll reprimand yourself for not able to afford one.

But i truly missed the mrt days. In fact, a lot of books are being read while travelling. (now hardly). You see huggie teen couples, you see the monster kids crawling & climbing, you see old folks standing ogling for a seat, you see a pretty exec with mini-skirt dozing and banging her head, you see one with mental mind talking/scolding someone he/she doesn't know, you see students doing schoolwork, you see someone eating discreetly, you heard Jay Chou's singing from the guy standing next toyou. And, many at times, it is indeed faster to travel fm town by mrt. (when i have to beat the jams along CTE)

Especially hate those drivers who suddenly slow down their vehicles fm say, 100 to 70km/h when it is near the speed camera or the ERP gantry. A lot of times, accidents are caused by these drivers. And, by slowing down they are actually causing the Q behind. Can't understand why the right outmost lane which is suppose to be fastest are usually the slowest. And well, this only happen along CTE!

Drivers are cautious when they saw the speed camera signboard. Hence pull back a little on their tendons. Why can't they just maintain at 80km/h? You would assume some drivers wanna give a stop there and then. Gosh! 60km/h or even 50km/h? That is always a close one. Posing a danger to cars behind.

Since the expenses are almost the same, why can't they maintain wat we used to have? Expensive cars -> low parking problems -> less ERP/Speed limit -> less accidents -> more citizens -> more offspring. And, less $ spend on building more highways, expressway, multi-storey carpark etc. Ya, our economic is booming, a huge group of people can still afford the cars. Tax more lor. What's the point of collecting ERPs when u have to spend it on solving the traffic issues? Tax, from the drivers lah. But building roads/highways, carpark and road systems it will be from taxpayer $ including those who don't drive? including those who chose to walk. Lugi?

I'm being naive. I'm a detestable driver myself. I jia ba bor sai pang. But i still face the same problem everyday and the 'hatred' grew each day. And..., i'm still driving :p
